A beautiful late 1970's Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust model 1601 featuring a rare Sigma signed champagne dial in a 36mm diameter case with a solid 18k gold fluted bezel on a stainless steel case with original two-tone USA made oval link bracelet. I just love the gorgeous near mint factory printed dial with solid gold markers and hands indicated by the small sigma symbol on either side of the T Swiss Made T signature at 6 o'clock. It is housed in a lovely, lightly polished 36mm diameter case with sharp edges on the lugs and light surface wear from gentle use. This watch has been freshly serviced here at Meticulous, is keeping excellent time and comes with our full 1-year mechanical warranty. The bracelet shows relatively light wear for its age with oval shaped links, and is remarkably comfortable on the wrist. Case: Solid stainless steel case with 18k gold bezel measuring 36mm in diameter excluding the original signed crown which screws down nicely to the case. The plastic crystal is clean and sharp and the watch is tested waterproof at the time of service. The original USA made 14k gold and stainless steel bracelet shows light wear and will fit up to a 7-1/2 inch wrist. Signed inside the buckle Rolex, Stainless Steel, 14 KT Trim, U.S.A.
Dial & Hands: Stunning near mint original factory printed dial with solid gold applied markers on a champagne background with pie-pan shaped outer rim, signed Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust, Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified, σ T Swiss T σ. The matching baton style solid gold hands are also in excellent condition with a light patina from the gold oxidizing over time. The date display disk is also original and correct for this time period and model with open 6's and 9's.
Movement: Superb quality in-house Rolex caliber 1570 automatic movement freshly serviced here at Meticulous and keeping excellent time.
