A rare and stunning XL size Cartier Basculante reversible wristwatch in solid stainless steel featuring a gorgeous factory original dial with unique sub-seconds and date display housed in a hinged case that can be swung out to reverse the position of the case to protect he dial. This design originated in the 1930's Art Deco era, shortly after the introduction of the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso and was produced sparingly until the late 1990's when Cartier brought back the design as you see here. This example, model 2522 is the largest of the series and the only one with date and sub-seconds display. Such a classy watch on the wrist, I just love how the clean from of the tank shape case is not disrupted by a crown at 3 o'clock, instead hiding it at 12 along side the blue sapphire cabochon accent. This example is in superb condition throughout with very little signs of wear and fitted with a lovely deep green genuine Cartier strap with deployant buckle. The quartz movement within has been freshly serviced and comes with our full 1-year mechanical warranty.

Case: Solid stainless steel rectangular shape case measuring 26.5mm by 39.5mm lug tip to tip with 20mm lug spacing. The main body of the watch is mounted in a hinged frame which is then set into the case back, all of which is snapped out of place by pulling up a tab near the blue cabochon at 12 o'clock. Beautiful factory bushed and polished finishes throughout, signed on the back Cartier, Stainless Steel with the model number 2522. The Cartier deployant buckle is also in superb condition, snapping shut perfectly around the wrist.
Dial: Mint condition factory printed original dial with silver/white background and classic Roman numeral details with sub-seconds at 3 o'clock and date display at 6 o'clock. Signed Cartier, with micro-printed Cartier at 7 o'clock, Swiss Made.
Movement: Cartier caliber 012 quartz movement signed Cartier, Swiss, 8 Jewels. Fresh battery installed and keeping excellent time. Freshly serviced with our full 1-year mechanical warranty.
