A wonderful 1940's Art Deco vintage Longines wristwatch featuring a gorgeous, quintessentially Longines, sector style dial with blue steel baton style hands housed in a 30.5mm diameter Calatrava style case, perfect for a smaller sized wrist and typical of men’s watches from the Art Deco period. It has such a beautiful, yet bold and stylized design with the sharp two-tone dial house in a simple and elegant case. The movement and dial in this wristwatch would have been imported into the UK by Baume & Co (who where the exclusive importer of Longines watches into Britain from 1976 to the mid-1960's) then cased by another British company, Dennison with the signature inside the back reading Baume, Made In England, Denisteel with model number 9719. This example has that perfect vintage charm with light ageing to the dial and gentle wear on the case. A truly classic Art Deco wristwatch from the heyday of the Longines watch company, freshly serviced here at Meticulous and ready to wear!
