Style: Early Wristwatch, Military

Circa: 1910's

Case:  Unique three-piece case with screw off bezel and back as well as very unusual screw-attached hinged lugs, signed inside the back Brevet 71602 in superb condition throughout.  It measures 35mm in diameter excluding the beautifully preserved onion style original crown.  The shape of this case is also unique in that it tapers towards the bezel with the back being slighly larger then the front.  It is a wonderful design, very practical and strong with replacable parts if, for example a lug broken or damaged, perhaps a prototype that never went into mainstream production.  I am not sure what metal the case is made of as it is unmarked, but it has stayed in amazingly clean and crisp condition for about 100 years without tarnishing.  The back does have some light wear as you see in the picture.

Dial:  Incredibly near mint original factory printed white enamel dial with bright red 12, sub-seconds at 6:00 and outer minute track, signed Zenith.  No hairline cracks or chips are of any kind, truly amazing condition for its age.  Beautiful blue steel hands complete the early trench watch look.

Movement:  Superb chronometer grade manual wind movement with unique and unusual blue-steel micro-regulator, Breguet over-coil hairspring and bi-metallic cut balance.  Incredible cosmetic condition, just serviced by our watchmaker and in excellent working condition keeping great time.
