Case: 14K solid gold case with wide fancy lugs and single button chronograph pusher at 4:00. Signed on the back Gruen, and inside the back Gruen Watch Co. Switzerland, 56 14K 0.585, 141 with correct Swiss hallmarks. Measures 34mm diameter excluding the crown. 17mm strap.
Dial: Near mint original factory printed gold tone dial with outer "GRADUATED FOR 30 PULSATIONS" track signed Gruen Precision Chrono-Timer, Switzerland. Small constant seconds dial at 9:00 and inner Tachymeter spiral in black. Mirrored gold roman numerals and markers.
Movement: Rare in-house Gruen caliber 450 single button chronograph movement signed Gruen Watch Co. Precision, Seventeen 17 Jewels, Unadjusted, Swiss, Veri-Thin, Patented. Recently serviced and in excellent working condition.
This extremely rare solid 14K gold Gruen Chronotimer doctors watch is in superb condition and looks incredible. The near mint original 3-tone dial is truly spectacular with its outer pulsations counter, tachymeter track and mirrored markers. Even more difficult to find then the Techni-Quadron duodial models you will be hard pressed to find a rarer Gruen then this!!! A stunning timepiece with a very uniquely engineered in house built single button chronograph movement. This series of important watches by Gruen simply do not emerge very often.
