Case: Fancy 10k Gold Filled case with stepped sides and bar style lugs. Nice engraving on the sides. Measures 41mm by 20mm excluding crown. 18mm strap.
Dial: Stylish original factory printed Art Deco artistry with circular minute chapter and triangular markers. Signed Gruen, Switzerland.
Movement: High grade Gruen Guild "A" manual wind movement signed 17 Jewels Swiss. Caliber 835B. Recently serviced and in excellent working condition.
Wonderful styling on this sheik Gruen Guild watch from the 1930's. The smaller caliber 835B movement (same as used in some Rolex models of the time period) was used in this watch to accommodate the fancy stepped case. I love the simple and clean artistry of the high Art Deco style dial. The watch is in overall amazing condition with only slight patina on the original dial giving it a wonderful old time look. This is a classy men's timepiece from one of the top quality manufacturers of the era.
