Stunning International Watch Company (IWC) dress/sport-style wristwatch housing their brilliantly engineered calibre 8541 automatically wound movement.  This timepiece is in superb all original condition with a near mint factory printed dial housed in a sharply sculpted solid stainless steel case (reference number R 810 A).  Inside we find the immaculate, high grade movement which uses the now famous "Pellaton" winding system to wind the watch as you wear it.  Invented by Albert Pellaton (IWC's chief engineer starting in 1944) the mechanism incorporates two rollers mounted on a double arm bridge which oscillate around an asymmetric, centrally located cam on the semi-circular shaped winding weight (rotor).  When the rotor moves with the actions of your arm, two independent clicks ratchet around a saw-toothed edge winding wheel, giving the mainspring almost continuously and even winding pressure.   This stunning example was originally retailed by the famous German house of Beyer, Zurich, and is a true lifetime investment quality wristwatch from one of the most famous and technically innovative Swiss houses in watch manufacturing history.
