A rare and beautiful 37.5mm Omega Automatic in solid 18k yellow gold with fantastic factory original waffle textured dial.  A true rarity, this circa 1950 model 2618 has that perfect vintage feel with some light patina on the dial and tarnish on the solid gold bezel with its original signed crown and early bumper automatic calibre 332 movement freshly serviced and keeping great time within.  Such a gorgeous dress timepiece on the wrist with its oversized case and thin profile giving it a very elegant yet bold look.

Circa: 1950

Style: Mid-Century Dress

Case: Solid 18k yellow gold 3-piece snap back case with fancy horn style lugs measuring 37.5mm in diameter excluding the signed Omega crown. Unpolished with light signs of use throughout and some slight tarnish on the solid gold bezel from years in storage.  The case back has a couple of very slight surface imperfections and is signed inside the back 0.750, Omega Watch Co, Fab Suisse, Swiss Made with model number 2618 and the casemakers mark, a key with a 1 inside.  The lug spacing is 18mm and is fit with a brand new deep brown croc grain strap with generic buckle.

Dial: Super rare factory original waffle textured dial with applied, bold solid gold even numbers with diamond and pointer markers and a gold Omega logo just above the signature. Signed Omega Automatic, Swiss.  The printing has faded slightly over time but is still very legible and gives the watch a lovely vintage feel with a light, even patina.  A few light surface marks can be seen under the right light, but nothing that overly distracts from the overall look and feel of this elegant dress watch. The solid gold dauphine style hands are also in superb condition.

Movement: The Omega in-house designed and manufactured calibre 332 early bumper automatic movement is in excellent mechanical condition having just been serviced here at Meticulous, keeping great time.  The rotor is showing a bit of light discolouration but overall it is in excellent cosmetic condition as well, signed Omega Watch Co, Swiss, 17 Jewels, 332 with a serial number in the 12 million range dating the watch to approximately 1950.  It comes with our full 1 year mechanical warranty, ready to wear!
