A stunning 1964 Breitling Top Time chronograph in a monoblock solid stainless steel case with wonderful original factory printed dial looking sharp on this thin black genuine lizard strap. This classy mid-century chronograph has a clean, stylized, minimalist look on the wrist and can be worn as a sporting timepiece but equally as suited to any dress occasion. I just love the way light catches the dial with those faceted pie-pan style sunken sub-registers, then together framed by the slightly less reflective outer tachymeter chapter ring. Case: A one piece solid stainless steel monoblock case with waterproof pump style pushers and signed Breitling crown. Measures 36mm in diameter with 19mm lug spacing fit with a thin, high quality genuine lizard strap. The case is stamped on the back Breitling, Stainless Steel, Antimagnetic, Swiss, Waterproof, Shock Protected with model number 2002. It is in nice clean polished condition.
Dial: Original factory printed silver dial with sunken 45 minute and constant seconds sub-registers, with an outer matte white tachymeter ring. Signed Breitling Geneve, Top Time, Swiss Made T. Overall excellent condition with some age showing on the edge from 12-1 o'clock and a bit of printing lost on the chapter ring.
Movement: High quality Valjoux caliber 7730 manually wound chronograph movement with unique shock protection on the balance jewels, signed Breitling Watch Ltd, 17 Jewels, Swiss, Unadjusted, WOG with 7730 stamped below the balance wheel.
