A truly stunning mid-century luxury dress watch by Longines, this solid 18k gold Conquest Automatic Deluxe would have been the top of the line model in its day, impeccably designed and beautifully crafted with every detail meticulously finished in solid 18k gold.  For me the blue and black glass enamel medallion on the back takes this Longines to another level, above and beyond so many other deluxe models by other brands of the same era. This gorgeous example is in all original condition with a beautiful factory printed dial are rare original "scallop" shape crown, freshly serviced and ready to wear.

Circa: 1960

Style: Mid-Century Dress

Case: Solid 18K yellow gold case measuring 35mm in diameter excluding the original scallop crown with screw down case back featuring the Longines wave with starts logo in original glass enamel. The condition of this example is stunning, I would say lightly polished once in its history but the original chamfers are still visible on the lugs with no major signs of wear or misuse.  Stamped inside the case back Longines, Fab Suisse, Swiss Made, with model number 9021-2, 18k 0.750.  The lugs are fitted with an 18mm genuine leather strap and generic gold plated buckle.  Just one small ding near the back edge just below the crown to note (see last picture).

Dial: Original factory printed solid 18K yellow gold dial with applied faceted gold markers and outer printed minute track. Signed Longines *** Conquest Automatic, Swiss.  There is a bit of light patina around the edge, one could even say slightly tropical, but only really visible under magnification.  It looks sharp and clean on the wrist with beautiful original solid gold hands.

Movement: High-grade in-house designed and manufactured Longines calibre 290 automatic movement in superb cosmetic and mechanical condition with no discolouration or patina. Stamped Longines Automatic, 24 Jewels, Swiss with a 11,4XX,XXX serial number dating the watch it to approximately 1960.  Freshly serviced and keeping great time with our full 1 year mechanical warranty.
