A rare and beautiful World War 2 era German military issued wristwatch by Zenith with a wonderful original factory printed dial in an unpolished 34mm case with DH issue marking on the stainless steel back. This watch has so much history and vintage character on the wrist, with an unusually stylish dial with those luminous 12,6 and 9 paired with silver hours in between. Inside the high grade 15 jewel movement with incabloc protection on the balance has just been fully serviced and is keeping great time, ready to wear on a nicely matched NATO style strap.

Case: Two-piece waterproof style case with chrome plated bezel and stainless steel back. Measures 34mm in diameter excluding the original unsigned crown. Unpolished with wear on the bezel giving it that perfect vintage feel for a military issued timepiece. The case back is marked with the issue number starting with a D, ending with an H which stands for either Deutsche Heer (German Army) or Dienstuhr Heer (Service Timepiece Army). Signed inside the case back Zenith, Fond Acier Inoxydable with model number 1518. The original crown is quite worn and smooth making it a little difficult to grip, but it is still certainly functional.
Dial: Superb original factory printed matte black dial with silver printed outer minute track, hours, sub seconds and signature. Luminous is applied on the 12,3 and 9 along with alternate hour marks. This luminous matches the original hands perfectly. It is in wonderful condition, sharp, bright and very legible on the wrist.
Movement: Superb quality in-house designed and manufactured Zenith 15 jewel movement with incabloc protection and blue steel hairspring. Stamped with a serial number in the 3.4 million range dating it to approximately 1944. Wonderful cosmetic and mechanical condition, freshly serviced here at Meticulous and keeping great time.
