A gorgeous vintage 1973 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust in superb cosmetic and mechanical condition, housed in a 36mm diameter case with solid 18k gold fluted bezel surrounding a stunning, near mint original silver dial with high grade calibre 1570 movement freshly serviced within and keeping excellent time, ready to wear! Mounted on a high quality genuine leather strap with tang buckle, this watch is beautiful on the wrist and in gently used condition throughout with sharp, clean lines showing very minimal signs of wear. The clarity and brightness of the original dial cannot be understated, this is a beautiful example of Rolex's famous model reference 1601 in every sense of the word.

Case: Solid stainless steel case with 18k gold fluted bezel measuring 36mm in diameter excluding the original signed crown which screws down nicely to the case. The plastic crystal is clean and sharp showing off the dial within with extreme clarity. The case is signed between the lugs at 6 o'clock with a serial number in the 3.4 million range dating it to approximately 1973, as well as the model number 1601 stamped at the 12 o'clock side. The inside the case back is also fully signed Montre Rolex SA, Geneva Switzerland Patented, Stainless Steel, 1601. The 20mm lug spacing is fitted with a high grade genuine leather strap with stainless steel aftermarket tang buckle. If a different colour strap is desired we can swap it out for something else we have in stock. The watch is in superb condition throughout with very little signs of wear and has passed our full water resistance test at the time of service.
Dial: Beautiful original factory printed pie-pan shape dial with a very clean and bright silver background, with a lovely satin finish and applied gold baton style markers with date aperture at 3 o'clock.
