A rare and beautiful solid 14k gold LeCoultre Memovox Automatic HPG alarm wristwatch in stunning all original condition featuring a rare slate grey with silver dial combination, powered by the famous "speedbeat" caliber 916 movement.  A truly rare find in solid gold, this classy JLC design is sharp on the wrist with a simple, mid-century case design and a lovely thin profile with signed original crowns. I just love that bold red seconds hand giving a bit of a spark to the overall dressy feel of this timepiece.

Circa: 1970's

Style: Mid-Century Dress

Case: Solid 14k yellow gold case measuring 36mm in diameter excluding the two signed LeCoultre crowns with 18mm lug spacing fitted with a genuine Lizard strap with gold plated generic buckle.  Signed inside the back Cased And Timed In USA By LeCoultre, Star W.C.Co, 14 KT Gold with model number 3075-916.  Superb lightly polished condition throughout.

Dial: Stunning near mint factory printed original dials with applied gold baton style markers, date aperture at 3:00 with inner slate grey mystery alarm dial with "ghost" white printed signature.  Signed LeCoultre Memovox, Automatic, HPG, Swiss. The HPG stands for "High Precision Guarantee".  The original dauphine hands match to perfection with red center seconds.

Movement: Jaeger-LeCoultre's famous "speedbeat" calibre 916 automatic calendar alarm movement in superb cosmetic and mechanical condition.  Fully signed LeCoultre Co, Swiss, 17 Jewels, Adjusted 3 Positions with the calibre number stamped beside the balance wheel on the mainplate.  The movement features Kif shock protection, a micro-regulator on the hairspring and a high frequency balance oscillation of 28,800 for increased accuracy.  It was the first ever automatic alarm caliber with a 360 degree automatic winding weight, produced by LeCoultre from 1969 to 1978, produced in relatively small numbers.  Very few of these were housed in solid gold cases making this example a very rare beauty!  This watch has been fully tested here at Meticulous and is in excellent working condition with the alarm function working well, although it for sale on consignment and has not been serviced by us, so does not come any warranty.
