Direct from its original owner comes this beautiful 1984 Rolex Oyster Perpetual GMT-Master 2 with its gorgeous maroon/blue Pepsi style bezel and near mint dial housed in a solid stainless steel case with traditional Oyster style bracelet. With all of the looks of its predecessor, the 1675, including the thin case profile and bi-directional bezel, the practical advantage of this transitional model 16750 is the quick-set date feature that comes with the caliber 3075 movement. This means that when the date needs to be set you can do so quickly by pulling the crown out one step rather then turning the hands 24 hours for each date advance as is the case on the 1675. This watch has been impeccably maintained through its lifetime, only ever serviced at certified Rolex service centers, most recently in late 2021. It received along with its complete overhaul a brand new Rolex service dial and hands which are in mint condition and glow beautiful green in the dark. A truly lovely example of this famous Rolex sport model, this watch is sharp on the wrist with a wonderful vintage feel.

Case: Solid stainless steel case measuring 40mm in diameter excluding the crown guards and signed Rolex screw-down crown. The case is in superb condition with very nice champers still visible on the lugs with brushed tops. The bezel turns bi-directionally with nice friction and the insert has that highly sought after maroon tone red with medium blue colouration. Near mint plastic crystal. Between the lugs at 12:00 is stamped with the model number 16750 then at 6:00 with a serial number in the 8 million range dating it to approximately 1984. Inside the back is fully signed Montre Rolex SA, Geneva Switzerland, Stainless Steel, 16750. The Oyster style bracelet is long with 15 total links including the 580 stamped endlinks and will fit an 8" wrist in its current configuration. It does show some wear and stretch to its links but looks clean on the wrist with many years of service still in it. The clasp as also replaced at the last maintenance according to the service records so dates to 2008 and closes perfectly.
