This extremely rare solid 14K gold Gruen Chronotimer doctors watch is in superb all original condition, a truly rare find with an incredible fancy solid 14k gold "waterproof" style case which houses the Gruen engineered and manufactured caliber 450 single button chronograph mechanism. The near mint original 3-tone dial is truly spectacular with its outer pulsations counter, tachymeter track and mirrored markers. Even more difficult to find then the Techni-Quadron duodial models you will be hard pressed to find a rarer Gruen then this!!! This series of important watches by Gruen simply do not emerge very often.

Case: Absolutely stunning and heavy solid 14k gold 2-piece case with very unusual fancy tapered horn shape lugs and push button to operate the chronograph mechanism at 4:00. This is the especially rare "waterproof" version of the Gruen Chrono-timer with screw down back. The case measures 33mm in diameter and is in excellent condition throughout, signed on the back Gruen and inside the back, Gruen Watch Co. Switzerland with hallmarks 56/14K/0.585, 141. The original crown and pusher have some very slight wear, but are also in excellent overall condition for their age.
Dial: Incredible original factory printed 3-tone dial with mirrored hour dots and roman numerals, inner tachometer spiral, highlighted minute track and outer "Graduated for 30 Pulsations" markers for medical use measuring pulse rates. A true doctors wristwatch. Constant seconds can be seen in a small inset dial at 9:00. Signed Gruen Precision, Chrono-Timer, Switzerland. MINT condition!!!

Strap: Just aquired this beauitful vintage (new old stock) 18mm Gruen signed genuine Lizard skin leather strap with the original gold filled Gruen stamped buckle. Matches and fits this chronograph perfectly, so has been included in the sale. The last 3 pictures of the strap have been added since the original pictures of the watch were taken, hense the discrepancy between the look of the strap compared to the first eight pictures of the watch.
