A beautifully designed and manufactured early waterproof model by Omega with clean military style original dial, unique sculpted barrel shape case with original crown and an Omega caliber 23.4 within, freshly serviced and keeping great time. This timepiece has awesome vintage character and is built like a tank out of heavy solid Staybrite stainless steel.  Stamped on the back with the Omega logo, Waterproof, Modele Depose and the serial number dating the watch to 1939.  The name Naiad dates back to Omega naming this style watch (and more specifically the crown design) after female water spirits of Greek mythology.  The case has a built in gasket in the stem tube that seals again the crown tube, a very effective early waterproofing system that many brands ( including Rolex) still use to this day.  A true piece of Omega design and innovation history in wonderful all original condition.
