Case: Beautiful tonneau shaped solid sterling silver case with flexible hinged screw in lugs and curved back. Back is fully hallmarked 0.935 silver. Original glass crystal has a couple of nicks but still in great condition. Original crown. Measures 37mm x 25mm excluding crown and lugs.
Dial: A classic example of Art Nouveau design. Original factory printed dial with exaggerated, exploding style numbers. Incredible near perfect condition.
Movement: High grade 15 jewel Swiss made manual wind movement. Maker unknown. Bi-metallic balance and breguet style hairspring.
A beautiful Art Nouveau timepiece in amazing original condition. This time period produced some of the most stylish designs in watchmaking history. This unusual mid-sized example has a formed tonneau case and curved back with a very high grade unsigned movement. You have to remember that in the early 20th century smaller was better not vice versa like today. Imagine a 90 year old glass crystal with only slight nicks! This truly is an amazing find in unbelievable condition.
Note: This watch is running well but only keeps time within about 5 minutes a day therefore not sold as an every day watch. Its value is in its rarity and collectability.
