Case: Solid stainless steel tank style case with recessed crown signed Staybrite. Shaped to fit unique form style movement so 100% correct and original. Measures 39mm by 22mm excluding crown. 16mm strap.
Dial: Original factory printed two tone Art Deco style dial with small seconds at 6:00 signed Zodiac Incassable, Swiss. Does show some minor spotting but still a classic example of the art deco era.
Movement: Unusual from style movement with cut out section to accommodate the recessed crown. Early shock absorbing device to protect the balance staff. Signed Zodiac Incassable, Fab. Suisse. Protected with extra dust cover inside outer case. Recently serviced and in excellent working condition.
This classically styled Art Deco timepiece is a fantastic example of the era. Most likely produced for the French market by the Zodiac Watch Company in the 1930's. The dial reads Zodiac Incassable which means "unbreakable" in English. The solid stainless steel case is truly sharp, echoing the form of the most famous Art Deco watch around, the LeCoultre Reverso. What makes this watch special is the uniquely formed movement to accommodate the recessed crown and its early shock absorbing system on the balance. Although the dial does have some slight spotting the watch still looks sharp and has that unique vintage feel. A true classic.
