Case: Rare and usual square tank style snap back case with huge flared lugs in all stainless steel. Measures 26mm by 38mm and has a great presence on the wrist with those oversize lugs. Signed inside the back Solvil Paul Ditisheim, Acier Inoxydable. Comes on a nice quality new genuine black leather 17mm wide strap.
Dial: Original dial has been beautifully refinished to its original design with two-tone silver backing, roman numeral markers and small seconds at 6:00. Signed Solvil, Geneve.
Movement: High grade in house engineered and manufacture manual wind movement signed Solvil Paul Ditisheim, 17 Jewels, Unadjusted. I do not think this is a true Affix balance as invented by Ditisheim, but their is some unusual modifications to the balance wheel much like the Affix design. The cuts in the balance are further away from the supporting arms then a typical design and the those arms also have additional pieces of brass inlaid into the rim straddling those cuts |see detail picture). A very unusual and rare feature and I am sure some sort of modification of Ditisheim's Affix design for the wristwatch. Recently serviced by our watchmaker and in excellent working condition.
