A gorgeous, high-quality early 1970's sporting chronograph by LeJour of Switzerland featuring a stunning factory printed black dial with beautifully aged tritium luminous matching the broad arrow style hands.  The case is solid stainless steel measuring 39mm in diameter and houses the famous Valjoux caliber 72 movement within, freshly serviced here at Meticulous and running beautifully with our full 1-year mechanical warranty.  Such a sharp looking sports watch on the wrist, this chronograph would have been the top-of-the-line LeJour offering back in its day and is still in superb, gently worn overall condition.  Famous for its association with Heuer in the 1970's, LeJour produced several models of the nearly the same design and quality, although it was originally a French based retailer that specialized in Swiss Made sports style watches, established in the 1960's. This example, powered by one of the highest quality chronograph movements ever designed and produced, the Valjoux calibre 72 was used by all of the top brands in its day including Rolex, Heuer, Universal, Breitling and Enicar.  It is a robust mechanism with incabloc balance protection with a beautiful sharp feel under the fingers.  Imported for sale in the US by J.P. Pingouin, this is a superb quality, beautifully designed and executed sports timepiece in excellent vintage condition, ready to wear!
