A truly gorgeous vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Submariner model number 1680 from 1975 with absolutely stunning original factory printed dial, matching hands and perfectly aged ghost bezel, freshly serviced and keeping chronometer grade time! This example was made the first year Rolex created the 1680 with an "all white" dial rather than with red printed Submariner, a first of sorts. It has such a sharp, clean look on the wrist with that deep matte black dial and large, near white luminous plots. The naturally aged grey/blue original fat font bezel insert adds that perfect vintage feel.

Dial: Absolutely stunning factory printed original deep matte black dial in near mint condition with slightly aged, off-white tritium luminous hour plots matching the original hands to perfection with original silver date disk. Signed Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date, Submariner, 660ft=200m, Superlative Chronometer, Officially Certified, Swiss-T<25. The dial serial number stamped on the back is 121 12345.
Case: Beautiful solid stainless steel 40mm diameter case, lightly polished with some original bevel still showing on the lugs. Gently used condition throughout with some swirling from normal wear, no major dings or scratches. The bezel turns with perfect friction in both directions. Between the lugs at 6 o’clock is correctly stamped with a serial number in the 3.9 million range dating it to approximately 1975 with the model number 1680 stamped between the lugs at 12 o’clock. Inside the back is also fully signed Montre Rolex SA, Geneva Switzerland patented, Stainless Steel, 1680. Pressure test passed to 10 Bar. The bracelet is a newer solid link 93150 service replacement (stamped ST3) with correct original 580 endlinks. While this means the watch is not all original, this bracelet is in superb, tight, solid condition and actually wears much more comfortably than the old folded link varieties. It comes with 13 total links including the endlinks and should fit up to a 6 3/4 inch wrist. If extra links are needed I have some in stock.
