A truly stunning, perfectly aged Tudor Prince Oysterdate Submariner model reference 7021/0 in solid stainless steel with beautiful original factory printed, lightly blistered deep blue dial with matching cream colour tritium luminous in the Snowflake hands and a naturally faded fat font blue "ghost" bezel.  The movement has just been freshly serviced here at Meticulous and it is keeping great time, ready to wear!  Such great vintage character on the wrist, this example has certainly seen lots of wrist time, but looks to only ever have been lightly polished with its original chamfers still visible on the lugs. Honest, 50 year old tool watch condition. It comes on the correct Rolex 9315 divers bracelet with 280 endlinks and correct "Pateted" (miss-spelled) diver extension.  It also shows some wear and stretch, but is still certainly funcional for decades to some.  A truly unique and beautiful Submariner with tons of vintage character on the wrist from the famous house of Tudor/Rolex.

Circa: 1970

Style: Sport, Tool Watch

Case:

Solid stainless steel case measuring 40mm in diameter excluding the original signed screw-down crown. Stamped on the back Original Oyster Case By Rolex Geneva with Montres Tudor SA, Geneva-Switzerland, Patented, Stainless Steel with date code IV.70 (4th 1/4 of 1970 production date). The original bezel with fat-font insert is superb with light fading on a semi-matte finish with a lovely light blue hue. It rotates smoothly in both directions with perfect friction and it should be noted the original pip at 60 is missing. Between the lugs at 6 is stamped the serial number in the 761XXX range dating it to approximately 1970 with the model number 7021/0 stamped at 12. Good used vintage condition and possibly lightly polished at some point with signs of the original chamfers still visible on the lugs. The crystal was replaced and the watch was tested fully waterproof at time of service. The 9315 Rolex Submariner bracelet with 280 endlinks shows lots of wear with some stretch and surface scratches, but functions perfectly well on the wrist. 13 total links including the endlinks will fit up to a 7 to 7-1/4 inch wrist.

Dial: Original factory printed dial with a stunning deep blue backgound and beautiful cream colour luminous markers, fully signed Tudor Prince Oysterdate, 200m=600ft, Submariner, T Swiss T with date aperture at 3:00.  As is common with the dial made for this serial it has naturally aged to have a slightly texture on the surface which has come to be knows as a blister effect.  On this example the texture is quite low, even and stable throughout and adds such a cool look to the watch under bright light!  The original Snowflake style hands have perfectly matching original luminous fill and are also in excellent light aged condition.  The date display on most 7021/0 have a roulette style date wheel with red and black numbers, this example has only the black numbers displayed which could mean it is a later model or has had the date disk replaced at some point.

Movement: High quality ETA calibre 2484 automatic movement with KIF shock protection and correct and original Tudor Auto-Prince signed rotor.  Freshly service and in excellent working condition, keeping great time.  Comes with our full 1 year mechanical warranty.
