Gorgeous 1969 Tudor Oyster Prince Day Date automatic wristwatch model 7017/0 in stainless steel with original box and papers, freshly serviced and ready to wear. The 38 mm “jumbo” case makes this one of Tudor‘s most sought after models, especially with the rare and striking original slate grey dial. A full 2mm bigger then the Rolex Day-Date “President” and the only Rolex cased day date design ever a production model in steel! While the original 7836 bracelet on this example certainly shows wear, the head is in excellent all original condition and its complete original set of box and papers makes this a true collectors timepiece.

Case: Superb quality stainless steel case by the famous case maker C.R. Spillman in excellent condition, most likely polished at some point in its past, now in very nice lightly used condition with minor surface wear. Measures 38mm in diameter excluding the original Rolex signed crown which screws down nicely to the case. Signed on the back Original Oyster Case By Rolex Geneva, then has the original owners name and address inscribed. Inside the back we find the signature Montre Tudor SA, Geneva-Switzerland, Patented, Stainless Steel, with makers mark C.R.S. (Charles Renee Spillman) Tested waterproof with new gaskets installed in service. The acrylic crystal is in very nice lightly polished condition. The original 7836 folded steel bracelet with 280 endlinks has some stretch and wear but matches the case nicely and still looks great on the wrist. This watch will also look great on a 20mm leather strap if so desired.
Dial: Near mint slate grey dial with applied baton style markers, Tudor shield logo at noon with day and date apertures at 12:00 and 3:00 respectively. All of the luminous dots are in place and match the hands beautifully. Signed Tudor Oyster Prince, Day + Date, Rotor Self-Winding, T Swiss T.
