A true railway engineers tool watch from the late 1960's, this gorgeous Universal Geneve RR 1205 "Railrouter" is in stunning near mint condition throughout and keeping chronometer grade time with a gorgeous, easily legible 24-hour factory printed dial with hack setting centre seconds and original signed crown. These were issued to Canadian Pacific (CP) and Canadian National (CN) railway engineers through the late 1960's into the early 1970's, one of whom sold me this watch a few years back! After a full service here at Meticulous I have enjoyed wearing it for the last couple of weeks and it has been keeping remarkably good time, within a few seconds/day. I love the clarity of the dial design with that bright orange seconds hand, housed in a classic UG style case. Such a cool vintage chronometer grade timepiece housing a specially fitted caliber 1205-SC "Stop" movement with 19 jewels and added hack setting lever system. This rare UG watch looks, feels and functions like a tool watch in every way!

Case: Thick gold plated case measuring 35.5mm in diameter excluding the original signed crown with 19mm lug spacing and a screw on back stamped with the model number 565 100. The bezel, with bombay style lugs shows very little wear with only a few minor signs of use and is stamped between the lugs Gold Electroplated G20 (20 Microns). The stainless steel back has its original concentric brushed texture with a just a couple of minor marks, stamped inside with the UG logo, Swiss, Fond Acier, Inoxydable, 3.
Dial: Stunning bright white original factory printed dial with clear black 24-hour markers and outer seconds track, signed Universal Geneve, R.R. 1205, Swiss. The old fashioned shape of the black hour and minute hands contrast perfectly with the dial which is then accented by bright fluorescent orange seconds hand for legibility at a glance.
