A stunning piece of high-grade horological history, this beautifully designed, engineered and produced 1958 Audemars Piguet ultra-thin dress watch is in wonderful all original condition featuring its original factory printed dial housed in a gorgeous 33.5mm diameter case with a total thickness of only 4.35mm, including its original low dome crystal. Powered by the famous caliber 2003 movement, it is fully signed and freshly serviced, with our full 1-year mechanical warranty.

Case: Solid 18k yellow gold case measuring 33.5mm in diameter excluding the small, flat original crown, with bold block style lugs fitted with a nicely matched thin, 18mm genuine lizard strap with generic buckle. Stamped on the back with a case serial number 142XX then inside Audemars Piguet, Swiss, 18k 0.750 with correct hallmarks and a makers key stamp 23 indicating it was produced by Eggly & Cie. Superb overall condition with very little signs of wear, sharp edges and light surface marks.
Dial: Wonderful original factory printed snap on style dial with thin baton style markers and matching original hands. It has a slight patina giving it that perfect vintage look on the wrist, with just one small blemish between the centre and 10 o'clock marker. Fully signed Audemars Piguet, Genève, Swiss.
Movement: A historic piece of micro-engineering by AP, the manually wound caliber 2003 is famous for being the the thinest movement produced by any company in the world at the time at only 1.64mm thick!! Read that again...! This example is in stunning cosmetic and mechanical condition, freshly serviced here at Meticulous and keeping excellent time. A chronometer grade timekeeper, fully signed Audemars Piguet, Adjusted To Temperature And 4 Positions, 17 Jewels, Swiss with a serial number in the 718XX range dating it to approximately 1958.
