A truly breathtaking and remarkable find, this 1967 Universal Geneve Automatic White Shadow is in new old stock condition complete with its original signed alligator strap and UG tang buckle with most of the original price tag sticker still on the back. STUNNING in every sense of the word. From the unique and beautifully textured dial to the soft brushed finish of the ultra-thin case (6.8mm), to the gorgeous freshly serviced caliber 1-66 micro-rotor movement within this timepiece is both a design and engineering work of art by the famous house of UG, preserved in virtually the same condition it would have been displayed almost 60 years ago!!  Gorgeous on the wrist and keeping excellent time after a full service here at Meticulous, this rare find will please even the most meticulous of collectors.  Don't miss it!!

Style: Mid-Century Dress

Case: Solid stainless steel case measuring 35.5mm across excluding the signed original crown by 43mm lug tip to tip and measuring only 6.8mm thick including the original low dome plastic crystal. New old stock with no signs of wear and perfect brushed bezel with sharp polished lugs.  Stamped on the back with the model number 866127 and serial number in the 2.8 million range dating it to approximately 1967. I purchased this watch with several other new old stock UG's from the ancestor's of a jewelry shop owner here in BC, Canada. The partial price tag still in place bears the name of that shop. The original 18mm leather strap is in superb, very lightly used condition and signed on the back with a "U" Universal Geneve logo as well as Selected Alligator and 18mm R.  The original Universal Geneve stainless steel buckle is also near mint and signed on the back Swiss, Acier Inox and an MG logo. Note: This is a mid-century dress watch and does not have a water-resistance rating.  

Dial: Absolutely gorgeous factory printed original no-lume textured dial with pattered center, applied steel and black baton style markers with matching baton style hands.  Signed Universal Geneve, Automatic, White Shadow, Swiss.  

Movement: An incredible in-house designed and manufactured Universal Geneve calibre 1-66 ultra-thin movement with microtor automatic wind mechanism, measuring only 2.5mm thick and in superb cosmetic and mechanical condition.  Fully signed Universal Geneve, 25 Jewels, 2 Two Adjustments, 1-66, Swiss.  Freshly serviced here at Meticulous and keeping excellent time with our full 1-year mechanical warranty.
