Circa: 1970

Style: Sport, Divers

Case: Solid stainless steel case measuring 42mm in diameter excluding the signed screw-down crown with a beautiful soft, rounded design on the body and lugs. It shows signs of honest gentle wear with the case back signatures still sharp on the back. The original Bakelite filled bezel is also in excellent bright condition with the colours matching perfectly to the dial, and just that one bump/dent between 40 and 45 minutes to note. It turns with excellent friction both ways and click-stops sharply at each minute. The original high-dome acrylic crystal is also signed with the Omega logo stamped on the middle underside, and is in excellent condition also, with just a few light crazing marks showing its age. Inside the case back is fully signed Omega Watch Co, Fab Suisse, Swiss Made, Acier Inoxydable, HF (Huguenin Frères) with the model number 166.073.  Fitted on a new 22mm genuine leather suede strap with generic buckle.

Dial: Gorgeous 100% factory printed original dial with deep blue background, white printed details and bright yellow/green tritium luminous, signed Omega Automatic, Seamaster, T Swiss Made T with date aperture at 3 o'clock. This rare example is from the very first 1970 production run of this model and does not have the 120 depth rating stamp as you will find on later examples in this series. This is absolutely correct for its year and serial number, adding a significant degree of rarity to an already spectacular watch.

Movement: Omega's famous caliber 565 automatically wound movement freshly serivced here at Meticulous and keeping excellent time with our full 1-year warranty. Fully signed Omega Watch Co, Swiss, 24 Jewels, 565, with serial number in the 29 million range. Some light cosmetic wear is visible due to past services, but mechanically it is in excellent condition and keeping great time!
