An especially sharp and stylish Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date 1501 with rare no-lume, sigma signed dial in an unpolished solid stainless steel case, giving it a very clean and elegant look on the wrist. Not only is it unusual to find a Rolex from this era without luminous material in its dial and hands, but even more so with solid gold markers and hands as indicated with the Sigma signature at 6 o'clock. Case: Stunning solid stainless steel 3-piece case measuring 34mm in diameter excluding the signed original crown, showing very minor signs of wear with just a few surface marks but overall is very sharp and clean. Inside the back is fully signed Montre Rolex SA, Geneva, Switzerland, Patented, Stainless Steel, 1501 with a date stamp of III.72 or the third quarter of 1972. It comes on its original Oyster style folded link 7835-19 bracelet in superb condition for its age, still quite tight with 15 links including the signed 357 endlinks. It will fit up to a 7 1/4 in wrist at its current length.
Dial: Rare and beautiful original factory printed silver dial with solid white gold applied hour markers and coronet at 12:00 with matching gold hands. Fully signed Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date, Superlative Chronometer, Officially Certified, T Swiss T. The original date disk is also in near mint condition with fat font printing and open 6's and 9's.
Movement: Rolex's famed in-house caliber 1570 chronometre grade automatic movement in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition, freshly serviced here at Meticulous and keeping excellent time with our full 1 year mechanical warranty.
