A sharp and sophisticated vintage 1978 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust in solid stainless steel featuring a solid white gold bezel and rare, gently textured "linen" style dial, freshly serviced here at Meticulous and ready to wear. I just love the subtle intrigue the lightly textured dial adds to the look of the watch on the wrist. The watch is in wonderful all original condition, set on a gently used Jubilee style 62510 bracelet that fits comfortable on the wrist. The in-house Rolex caliber 3035 automatic movement within is also in superb mechanical and cosmetic condition, featuring a quick-set date feature and incabloc shock protection on the balance jewels., running strong and keeping excellent time with our full 1-year mechanical warranty.

Case: Superb solid stainless steel case with 14k solid white gold fluted bezel, measuring 36mm in diameter excluding the original signed screw-down crown. The plastic crystal has just been replaced and is perfect, sharp and clear. The case is stamped between the lugs at 6:00 with a serial number in the 5.5 million range dating it to approximately 1978, then between the lugs at 12:00 with the model number 16014. The fluted bezel is in excellent, lightly polished condition with just one small imperfection to note at around 7 o'clock. The 20mm lug spacing is fitted with its original stainless steel Jubilee style bracelet model 62510H with 555 endlinks, which are correct for this model. It is full length with 22 total links and is able to fit up to a 7 1/4” wrist without adding any extra. The case is in beautiful brushed/polished condition matching the bracelet which shows some stretch typical of a watch of this age. The case has brand new gaskets and tests waterproof, ready to wear!
