Rare 1920's Art Nouveau era vintage dress watch by Alpina with original exploding numbers dial in a solid 14k gold case. This beautiful mid-size example is great condition and running well after a full service by our watchmaker. A high quality timepiece from one of the most formative era's in design history, these are becoming increasingly more difficult to find especially in solid gold cases.
Circa: 1920's
Case: Solid 14k gold rectangular hinged case, stamped on the back with hallmarks and the makers name, Alpina. Measures 21.5mm by 33mm excluding the crown and lugs. Nicely curved back. Comes on a high quality, simple 16mm black leather strap.
Dial: Original factory printed dial with gold color background and exaggerated black printed numbers, unsigned. Excellent overall condition with only very minor signs of wear.
Movement: Excellent quality Swiss made 15 Jewel manual wind movement. Also unsigned which was not unusual for this ear of timepiece. Fully serviced by our watchmaker and in excellent working condition.
