This is a truly beautiful example of how the Art Nouveau era influenced early wristwatch fashion, this example by the Longines Watch Company of Switzerland. The engraving is wonderful, with flowing lines and classic flower decoration typical of Nouveau decorative design. The dated inscription on the back also is stunning and adds a wonderful sense of history to the watch. The deeply curved back is a rare feature from this time period of watchmaking and this is a great example.  Inside the case, the A.W. Co stamp stands for A. Wittnauer, the US distributors of Longines Watches. This gorgeous piece of early wristwatch history is in excellent all original condition and working well.
