A gorgeous 1940's Art Deco dress watch from Jaeger-LeCoultre with beautiful original pie-pan dial, minimalist case design and high grade JLC caliber 450 movement within, just serviced and keeping great time. A superb looking watch on the wrist at that perfect size of 35mm in diameter with a very thin bezel giving it an oversized look. This is one of the most beautiful, classic vintage dress watches JLC ever produced and rare to find in all original condition in 18k gold.
Style: Mid-Century Dress
Case: Beautiful solid 18 yellow gold case measuring 35mm in diameter excluding the original crown. This watch looks large on the wrist due to the thin bezel and large diameter dial. Inside the back is stamped with the all of the correct 18k gold hallmarks plus the makers mark LC (LeCoultre). Comes on a perfectly matched 17mm dark brown Italian leather strap with generic gold plated buckle. The case looks to have been lightly polished with just a couple of minor scratches on the back and a very clean overall look.
Dial: Rare pie-pan style 100% original factory printed snap-on dial with outer stylized numbers in black with applied gold hour markers. It has a beautiful even patina giving it that unmistakable vintage feel, but still very bright and sharp on the wrist. Signed Jaeger-LeCoultre, Swiss. The original hands are also in excellent condition.
Movement: High grade JLC in-house designed and manufactured calibre 450 with indirect centre seconds, unique shock protection on the balance jewels and blue over-coil Breguet style hairspring. Signed Jaeger-LeCoultre, Swiss. Some light discoloration on the plates, but was just serviced and is running strong keeping great time! Comes with our full 1 year mechanical warranty.
