A beautiful example of late Art Deco style by Jaeger-LeCoultre, this all original 1940's "powerwind" wristwatch features a fancy solid stainless steel case, classic silver dial with rose gold markers/hands and the unique feature of a power reserve indicator window at 12:00. As the watch is worn, the mechanism is powered automatically by the motion of the oscillating weight mounted on the top of the movement. The mainspring is slowly wound throughout the day, with the amount of hours of reserved power displayed in the crescent moon shaped "power-reserve" aperture. When less then 12 hours of power are left, the window turns from a white to bright red background warning the wearer of impending power loss. Brilliant!! A truly timeless piece of horological art in beautifully preserved condition. One of my personal favorite JLC's ever produced.

Case: Fancy solid stainless steel 2-piece screw back case with horn style lugs and inset original crown. Measures 34mm in diameter and comes on a 16mm wide strap. Signed inside the back Acier Inoxydable, LeCoultre Co Swiss. Excellent condition throughout, only a couple of very minor nicks on the side of the case near 8:00 to note.
Dial: Beautiful and rare original factory printed dial with rose gold markers, numbers and outer minute dots. Signed Jaeger-LeCoultre, Automatic, Swiss Made. The aperture at 12:00 shows the power reserve dial in red and white which winds up to 40 hours, then once the power has wound down to 12 hours, the color changes to red to warn of impending power loss. The original rose gold baton style hands hands are also near perfect along with the blue steel center seconds hand. This dial is bright and clean say for that one small circular blemish near the 5:00 marker in truly excellent condition. A stunning example with a fantastic Deco look.
Movement: Early "bumper" style automatically wound caliber 481 movement signed Jaeger-LeCoultre Swiss, Fab. Suisse Automatic, 17 Jewels. Fully serviced by our watchmaker and in excellent working condition.
