A beautiful 1940's Art Deco era Movado tank style wristwatch with a gorgeous thin profile case made by the famous case maker Wenger, featuring unique hooded style teardrop shape lugs framing the original factory printed dial with applied Breguet numeral hour markers.  A very stylish timepiece on the wrist, this solid 14k gold wristwatch has an understated and elegant look.  Fitted on a new old stock, Movado/Corfam suede leather strap with period gold filled buckle, freshly serviced here at Meticulous and ready to wear!

Style: Art Deco, Mid-Century Dress

Case: Solid 14k yellow gold case by Wenger, showing some light tarnishing that could be burnished off easily if so desired.  The case measures 23mm wide excluding the original unsigned crown, by 37mm lug tip to tip with 17mm lug spacing.  Including it original glass crystal it measures only 7.3mm thick.  Signed inside the back Movado Factories, Switzerland, 14K 0.585, model numbers 43845 and 387000 and the #1 Geneva case makers key which is Wenger, one of the most prestigious case making houses in Switzerland.  Wenger made cases for the most prestigious brands including Patek Philippe, Vacheron & Constantin, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Omega.

Dial: Factory printed original dial with silver background and applied Breguet numeral hour markers with sub-seconds hand at 3 o'clock. Signed Movado, Switzerland. Excellent bright condition with light, even patina throughout.  Original baton style hands to match. 

Movement: A superb quality Movado in-house manual wind caliber 375 form shape movement signed Movado Factories, 17 Jewels, Swiss Made with the caliber number stamped below the balance.
