A stunning 1965 pre-moon, pre-professional Omega Speedmaster model ST 105.003-65 in wonderful condition, freshly serviced and ready to wear. Features a gorgeous near mint original tritium dial with all of the cream colour luminous intact and correct features for the year produced, including the applied logo, long sub-dial markers and "close T's" at the base of the dial. The case is in lovely, honest condition for its age with light surface wear, lightly refinished at some point in its history with much of its original champers still visible on the lugs. The original DON (dot over ninety) bezel has patinaed to a beautiful deep grey/blue with minimal chipping, still looking sharp to the naked eye. Comes on a genuine Omega Speedmaster 1450/808 bracelet which would have been a replacement for the original in the late 1980's. Has an incredible look on the leather strap as well. The caliber 321 movement has just been serviced by our watchmaker and is in excellent working condition, keeping great time. A true piece of Omega history on the wrist. Don't miss it!
Case: Solid stainless steel case measuring 39.5mm in diameter excluding the flat foot, 24 tooth crown. Flat lugs with 19mm lug spacing. Original Tachymetre base 500 bezel with some light chipping has slightly faded to a awesome deep grey/blue colour. The pushers look to also be original Omega service replacements as they are the larger size then specified for this model but the same as used in later versions. The correct and fully signed "double bevel" back still bears the inscription Speedmaster with the seahorse and Omega logo's although its has been refinished at some point so it is not as crisp as when new. Signed inside Omega Watch Co, Fab Suisse, Swiss Made, Acier Inoxydable with model number ST 105.003 - 65 with case maker FJ.
Dial: Stunning factory original matte black dial in near mint condition with applied Omega logo, stepped chapter ring and long marked sub-dials, signed Omega Speedmaster, T Swiss Made T. The hands are also original with all original luminous intact which has discoloured slightly on the hour and minute hand most likely from oil seepage through the years but give the watch that perfect vintage feel.
Movement: The famous Omega caliber 321 column wheel 3-regiester, hour recording movement is in superb cosmetic and mechanical condition, freshly serviced and keeping excellent time. Protected under the original, (now discoloured) dust cover the movement has a serial number dating it to approximately the correct time period of the watch and is ready for years more wear. A superb quality movement for a historically important and truly stunning timepiece.
