Originally sold at Bucherer AG in Zurich in 1984, this stunning solid 18k yellow gold Oyster Perpetual Day-Date is still a true classic on the wrist and in superb all original condition complete with box, booklet and warranty card. It features a beautifully, lightly aged tropic silver dial with a wonderful cream hue housed in a 36mm diameter case with single-quick-set caliber 3055 movement freshly serviced and keeping chronometer grade time with our full 1-year mechanical warranty. The case and bracelet are in beautiful clean condition with a sapphire crystal protecting the dial. An investment grade Rolex President with its complete original sales kit.

Case: Solid 18k yellow gold Rolex Oyster case measuring 36mm in diameter excluding the signed original crown with sapphire crystal. Superb polished/brushed condition, stamped between the lugs at 12 with the model number 18038, then at 6 with the serial number in the 6.7 million range dating it to approximately 1981. Signed inside the back Montres Rolex SA, Geneve Switzerland, Patented, Geneva Makers Key 12, 18k 750, 18000. The factory original bracelet is full length with 24 total links including the endlinks and clasp, which will fit up to a 6-3/4 inch wrist. Stamped in the clasp with the correct model number 8385. The bracelet shows some minor stretch, but I would say is still in about 80% condition as it was new.
Dial: Wonderful factory printed original silver dial with beautiful light tropic aging giving it a warm glow on the wrist. Signed Rolex Oyster Perpetual Day-Date, Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified, T Swiss T. All of the original tritium luminous dots are in place and match the original hand set to perfection.
Movement: Officially certified Rolex chronometer grade caliber 3055 automatic movement adjusted to 5 positions and temperature with 27 Jewels. Freshly serviced here at Meticulous and running to Rolex chronometer standards. The date can be quick set by pulling the crown out one position, while the day must be set by setting the watch forwards or backwards 24 hours to change it over, making this the so-called single-quick caliber.
Box/Papers: Comes complete with its original box, signed on the bottom Montres Rolex SA Geneve, Switzerland, 71 00 01. The warranty card is an interesting one, stamped 0000010 in the lower left corner, then hand signed with the serial, model numbers and date of sale, with the official Bucherer AG Zurich stamp signed by the salesperson. The original Your Rolex Oyster book and a small photocopy of the setting/winding instruction on a piece of paper.
