A beautifully preserved 1954 Rolex Oyster Perpetual big bubbleback model 6332 in solid stainless steel with stunning near mint original dial in an unpolished case with rare Brevet+ crown. This exceptional example demonstrates a distinct departure from the previous Rolex models of the 1940's and 50's in that the case is slightly more refined with sharp, flat sides (rather than domed) formed into thinner Calatrava style lugs, while the case back retains that deep "bubble back" dome to accommodate the calibre 645 automatic within. This example is in remarkable condition inside and out with original brush finish on the sides of the case (never polished) and stunning near mint dial with fantastically bold missile shape markers, alpha style hands with blue steel counterweighted seconds. Freshly serviced and keeping great time, ready to wear.
