A stunning all original Rolex Air-King in solid stainless steel with original folded link bracelet, freshly serviced here at Meticulous and ready to wear! Such a simple, timeless design, this model 5500 is as stylish today on the wrist as it was over 50 years ago when it was first sold. I just love the unique Air King style hand and cream colour matching luminous on the dial. Such a classy watch! It comes on its original folded link 7835-19 bracelet with 357 endlinks. Tested fully waterproof at the time of service, this is a fantastic daily driver, suitable for dress or casual wear. Built to last a lifetime without ever going out of style.

Case: Solid stainless steel case with smooth bezel, measuring 34mm in diameter excluding the screw down crown with 19mm lug spacing fitted with its original bracelet. The case is in superb, sharp condition, possibly lightly polished in its time with only light signs of wear from gentle use. The crown screws down perfectly to the case which is stamped with the model number 5500 between the lugs at 12:00 and with a serial number in the 3063XXX range at 6:00 dating it to approximately 1972. The inside case back is fully signed Montres Rolex SA, Geneva Switzerland, Patented, Stainless Steel 1002 (correct for this model) II.72 (2nd quarter of 1972). The original reference 7835-19 bracelet is full length with 15 total links including the 357 stamped endlinks and will fit up to a 7-1/4 inch wrist. It shows some very minor stretch from use but wears comfortably on the wrist, still looking very clean and sharp with only light surface marks.
Dial: Original factory printed silver dial signed Rolex Oyster Perpetual Air-King, Precision, T Swiss T. Superb bright and clean condition with baton style markers and all of its original tritium luminous plots matching the unique Air-King style hands, also in beautiful condition with original tritium in place.
Movement: Rolex's famous caliber 1530 automatic movement in superb cosmetic and mechanical condition, signed Rolex Geneva, 26 Fine Rubies, Swiss, 1530. Serviced by our watchmaker here at Meticulous and keeping excellent time with our full 1 year mechanical warranty.
