A stunning and rare vintage Rolex "OP" model 1002 in stainless steel with original gloss black dial with rare "rail" configuration in a 34mm case with high grade caliber 1570 hack setting movement within, freshly serviced and ready to wear.

Style: Mid-Century Dress or Casual 

Case: Solid stainless steel case measuring 34mm in diameter excluding the original screw down crown.  Lightly used condition with surface marks from gentle wear with a few small scratches on the case back. Unpolished by us but most likely has been at some point in the past.  Stamped between the lugs at 12:00 Orig Rolex Design, 1002 with the serial number stamped at 6:00 in the 8081XXX range dating the watch to approximately 1984.  Fully signed inside the case back Montre Rolex SA, Geneva, Switzerland, Stainless Steel, 1002.  

Dial: Stunning original factory printed Rolex Oyster Perpetual dial with gloss black background, anvil shape applied steel markers with white accented tops and white printing, with beautifully aged cream tritium luminous dots all intact say for a partial loss at 5:00.  Signed Rolex Oyster Perpetual, Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified, T Swiss T with RARE Rail Dial configuration meaning the "C's" in Chronometer and Certified are placed on top of one another with the spaces between the words creating the rare "rail" configuration sought after by collectors.

Movement: Superb quality, freshly serviced caliber 1570 automatic movement with a balance-stop or hacking lever which stops the balance when the crown is pulled out so one can set the time to the second.  Comes with our fill one year mechanical warranty, keeping excellent time!
