Superb all original condition in this high grade Rolex Oyster Royalite Military style wristwatch in all stainless steel case.   Not to be confused with the much more common caliber 59 Rolex/Tudor Oyster watches of the same period, this model produced specifically for the Canadian market houses the top quality Rolex caliber 710 with sweep seconds and unique "superbalance" system.  This watch is in truly beautiful condition with stunning original mirrored dial with 24 hour numbers in red, original hands and oyster patent screw down crown.  An investment quality Rolex timepiece with box!!

Style: Military

Circa: 1940's

Case: All stainless steel case with brushed lugs and polished bezel, screw down oyster patent crown and coin edge style back signed on the outside "Stainless Steel, R.W.C."  This midsize wristwatch measures 30.5mm in diameter excluding the crown and comes on a 17mm leather strap.  Excellent condition throughout say for a few nicks around the edge of the back cover (see picture).  Inside the back is signed Brevetee Rolex SA, Geneve Suisse, 31 Victories, Haute Precision, R.W.C Ltd, and the model reference number 4220.
Dial:  Original factory printed dial signed Rolex Oyster Royalite with outer minute track, mirrored highlight, luminous numbers 1 to 12 and red numbers 13 to 24 inside.  Beautiful blue steel luminous hands with red sweep center seconds.

Movement:  High grade Rolex calibre 710 manual wind movement signed on the ratchet wheel Rolex, 15 Rubis, Swiss Made.  Indirect sweep seconds and rare superbalance with breguet overcoil hairspring.  Fully serviced by our professional watchmaker and in excellent working condition.

Box:  Pristine genuine Rolex box, probably Canadian made (no "Swiss Made" signature on the bottom) is correct for this era and history of this Canadian market Rolex timepiece.  Bugundy leatherette exterior with brass rims and black velvet display seat.  Signed twice, once on the inner front rim and again across the inner back.  Adds a great vintage feel to this already rare Rolex timepiece and while it was found seperatly from this watch is almost certainly what it would have been delivered in originally.
