Such a cool vintage 1960's dive watch by Wittnauer Genève featuring a beautiful matte black dial with aged cream colour luminous in a solid stainless steel 38mm diameter case, freshly serviced here at Meticulous and set on a vintage style leather strap. I just love the look of this watch on the wrist with its easy to read dial, aged luminous and bold hands in a thin profile case giving it that unmistakable vintage feel. It is in remarkably good condition throughout with very little wear on the brush/polish case, ready to wear!

Case: Solid stainless steel 3-piece case with rotating bezel and screw-on back. Measures 38mm in diameter (excluding the original signed crown) by 47mm lug tip to tip with 19mm lug spacing fitted with a vintage style light gray genuine leather strap with generic buckle. The bezel turns with good friction in both directions and is also in very good cosmetic condition along with the case. The brushed and polished surfaces on the bezel look almost too good to be true so I would say the case has most likely been refinished at some point in the recent past. The back is stamped Stainless Steel, then inside Wittnauer Watch Co Inc, 11KS (movement calibre) 4000 (model reference number). The case measures 11.5mm thick including the original high domed plastic crystal with date magnifier and should not longer be considered water resistant due to old gaskets, especially in the original crown.
Dial: Wonderful original factory printed black dial with white printed details, tritium luminous hour markers and date aperture at 3:00. Signed Wittnauer Genève, 25 T Swiss Made T 25. Excellent condition with matching original hands which may have had their luminous replaced a some point, but do match beautifully with the dial.
Movement: Wittnauer caliber C11KS-1 manually wound movement signed Wittnauer Watch Co Inc, 17 Jewels, Swiss, Unadjusted with KIF shock protection on the balance jewels.
